Camilla Vergotis

Soloist

Camilla Vergotis was born on the Gold Coast in Australia. She graduated from The Australian Ballet School in 1998 with Honours. Whilst she was there she received awards in classical and character dance, drama and choreography. Camilla then joined The Australian Ballet Company where she was a Soloist. In her 9 years with the company she has performed numerous principal and soloist roles, some of these include; 'Lise' (La Fille Mal Gardee - Ashton); 'Constance'(The Three Musketeers - Prokovosky); 'Clara' (The Nutcracker - Sir Peter Wright); 'Street Dancer and Cupid'(Don Quixote - Ruldolf Nureyev); The Flower Festival in Genzano (Bournonville); Symphony In C The Third Movement (Balanchine); Divergence (Stanton Welch); Rites (Stephen Page); Peasant Pas De Deux (Giselle - Maina Guilgard); Serenade (Suite en Blanc - Serge Lifar); Spring Waters (Asef Messerer) 'Canari Fairy and Air Fairy' (Sleeping Beauty - Stanton Welch); 'Younge Duchess' (Swan Lake - Graeme Murphy); Paquita (Petipa); Bomb Squad (In The Upper Room - Twyla Tharp); 1st variation Shades (La Bayadere - Petipa); Dawn (Coppelia - Peggy Van Praage); Petite Morte (Jiri Kylian); Forgotton Land (Jiri Kylian); Lead Cupid (Molto Vivace - Stephen Baynes);'Lucille' (Raymonda - Stephen Baynes); Mercurial Manoevres (Christopher Wheeldon).

In 2006 Camilla was invited as a Guest Artist in The Sleeping Beauty and Fouette Girl Competition for The Dancers Company. She has also performed internationally with The Australian Ballet in London, Cardiff, New York, Washington, Shanghai, Tokyo and Auckland.

Camilla joined the Hong Kong Ballet in January 2008.
