Carlo Pacis
Soloist / Choreographic Apprentice
Carlo joined the Hong Kong Ballet after graduating with First-class Honours from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) in 1998. He received the Hong Kong Dance Award in 2002 for his technical artistry and the depth of his dramatic reading of roles. He was invited to choreograph for HKAPA in 2003 and started choreography for the Company's choreographic workshops, education programmes and productions since 2000. The Company was invited to perform his work There's a Fly in this Soup in the 1st Asia Pacific Ballet Festival held in Seoul in 2006. In January 2007, he created Hesperidium for the Company's production Primary Moves; in August he did the additional choreography for the Company's production of Swan Lake and in October, he choreographed for Opera Hong Kong's production of Aida.
Carlo is now pursuing his 2nd year of study in HKAPA's MFA programme.
