Kenji Hidaka

Soloist

Born in Japan, Kenji Hidaka started his ballet training in Kumamoto Ballet Institute at the age of seven. He graduated from The Australian Ballet School in 1998 with Diploma in Dance. Upon graduation, he joined The Australian Ballet and toured in Queensland and regional Victoria.

Kenji joined the Hong Kong Ballet in 1999 as corps de ballet and promoted to Coryphée and Soloist in 2002 and 2003 respectively. With his bouncing technique and vigorous performances, he was well praised in his roles of Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet, Blue Bird in The Sleeping Beauty, Lead of Waltz of the Flowers in The Nutcracker.
