With six magnificent performances to full houses last summer, Cinderella returns with magic this September at Tuen Mun Town Hall.
As Cinderella falls for her Prince Charming, you too will be captivated by David Allan's wickedly witty production of this familiar fable.
Let Prokofiev's wonderful score together with Peter Cazalet's sumptuous settings, accompany you as you follow Cinderella's rise from rags-to-riches.
This classic fairytale is one for the family and its magic and romance will delight and captivate audiences of all ages.

David Allan - Choreographer
"David Allan is a major talent. He knows how to make a beautiful ballet."
- New York Times
- As an international choreographer, David Allan has choreographed more than 50 ballets. His critically acclaimed works are in the repertory of such prestigious companies as the New York City Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada and Italy's Rome Opera Ballet.
- He has also choreographed for opera, film, television and musicals. He is the recipient of the 1989 Jean A. Chalmers Choreographic Award (Canada) and the 1997 Choo-San Goh Award (U.S.A.).
- David Allan is now a Professor and Director of Ballet at the University of California.
Sergei Prokofiev (1891-1953) - Composer
- 20th century Russian composer who wrote in a wide range of musical genres, including symphonies, concerti, film music, operas, ballets and programme pieces.
- Prokofiev's music for ballet spans his career from 1915 to his death in 1953. He has a special gift for ballet music which placed him in the big league alongside Tchaikovsky, Ravel and Stravinsky.
- His most popular works include: The Love for Three Oranges, Romeo & Juliet, Peter and the Wolf and Cinderella.
- Cinderella has dark overtones despite the fact that it is a charming, lyrical ballet. Prokofiev wrote that he saw Cinderella, "not only as a fairy-tale character, but also as a real person - feeling, experiencing, and moving among us."
Peter Cazalet - Set & Costume Designer
- Danced for London Festival Ballet, Western Ballet Theatre and Ballet Rambert.
- Cazalet started designing for Capab Ballet in 1971 and he was appointed Head of Design for Cape Town Performing Arts Board in 1980.
- Cazalet's commissions included most of the ballets in Capab Ballet's repertoire as well as operas, ballets, plays and musicals for numerous South African theatres. His contribution to South African theatres was recognized by several prominent awards.
