Hong Kong Ballet Principal Dancers Faye Leung and Zhang Yao were invited to participate in "Prague Ballet Gala" which will be held on 11 January 2008 at Prague State Opera. The gala unites renowned dancers from all over the world in a festive performance, showcasing the latest and the brightest of the ballet world.
Faye and Yao will perform an excerpt from the Company's original production Turandot choreographed by Natalie Weir. Principal dancers from other world famous ballet companies and theatres including The National Ballet of Canada, Berlin State Opera, Complexions Contemporary Ballet (USA) will also perform in this all-star gala.
Artistic Director John Meehan said, "Hong Kong Ballet is delighted to participate in such international event which provides a good opportunity for our dancers to broaden their horizon through the exchange with leading dancers from all over the world. It also provides an excellent platform to further enhance the Company's international profile."
