Born in Chiba, Japan, Ayano Haneishi trained at Ecole de Ballet Pieds Nus. Previously an Apprentice with the New National Theatre, Tokyo, she joined Hong Kong Ballet as an Apprentice in 2016 and became a member of the Corps de Ballet in 2017.

With Hong Kong Ballet, Haneishi has danced the principal and featured roles of Odette/Odile in Yuri Ng’s Ballet Classics for Children: Swan Lake, Odalesques in Anna-Marie Holmes’ Le Corsaire, and in Ronald Hynd's Coppélia, Val Caniparoli's Lady of the Camellias and Christopher Wheeldon's Rush. Prior to joining the Company, she has performed in August Bournonville’s La Sylphide, Marius Petipa’s Raymonda and The Nutcracker with Japan Junior Ballet Company.
