We are excited to invite you to audition for Hong Kong Ballet's new production of The Wizard of Oz, Choreographed by Hong Kong Ballet(HKB)'s artistic director Septime Webre. This beloved tale follows the adventure of Dorothy, a young girl who finds herself in the magical land of Oz and sets out on a journey to find her way back home. Along the waym she meets a charming scarecrow, a brave tin man, and a cowardly lion, who join her on her quest.
We are inviting young ballet dancers to audition for the various roles in The Wizard of Oz. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to share the same stage with Hong Kong Ballet dancers! Requirements for children roles:
- Must be able to attend ALL rehearsals and performances
Rehearsal Schedule
Selected Children Dancers shall come to rehearsal according to their character's groupings, which will be announced to successful candidates in the audition result.
Application Guidelines
- Deadline for application submission: 5:00pm, 20 May 2024 (Monday).
- We ONLY accept online applications at forms.gle/qC3SgsnzcswEPUgg8. Other forms of submission will not be considered. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Each candidate should only submit their application ONCE.
- Late submissions or incomplete registration forms will not be processed under any circumstances.
- You risk losing your audition opportunity if you repeatedly submit applications for the same candidate.
- Hong Kong Ballet's decision on all matters relating to the audition is final.

Announcement of Audition Results
Successful applicants selected to participate in The Wizard of Oz will receive individual e-mail notification by 5:00pm, 11 June 2024 (Tuesday).
