The programme is about 20 minutes long.

On 26-27 August, two meaningful and enjoyable Pre-performance Talks were given by the Company’s Education and Community Outreach Manager Vency Kwok in Cantonese and Artistic Director Madeleine Onne in English, respectively. Close to 160 audience members listened intently to the 20-minute discussions at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre before heading to the actual shows.

The talks served as a platform to equip the audience with a better understanding of the background and story of Swan Lake. The Company’s dancers - Sau-long Leung, Nana Sakai and Song-wei Hu - were interviewed about their Swan Lake experiences and shared insights about being a part of Hong Kong Ballet. Afterwards, audience members enjoyed a close-up look at the dancers in their beautiful costumes and learned some ballet mime themselves!
