On Friday 29th May 2015, the opening night of Paquita. Bolero. Carnival+, The Hong Kong Ballet hosted an enjoyable and informative pre-performance talk at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The Company’s Artistic Director, Madeleine Onne, and Education & Community Outreach Manager, Vency Kwok, conducted a 20-minute pre-performance talk in which they discussed the dance programme with the audience. The programme included excerpts from Marius Petipa's "Paquita", the world premiere of "Bolero", newly choreographed by the Company's dancers and choreographers Yuh Egami and Ricky Hu, as well as Alexei Ratmansky's charming and fun one-act ballet "Les Carnaval des Animaux". Yuh Egami & Ricky Hu also participated in the talk and shared their experiences both in dance and choreography. The talk was attended by approximately 100 members of the audience who then watched Paquita.Bolero.Carnival+ with a deeper insight into each of the productions.
