A preview of the production was held on 14th October 2014 in the rehearsal room of the Grand Theatre, backstage at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Members of the audience were free to move about the space during the preview so they got close-up views of the dancers, their movements and their performances.

The audience was introduced to the 3 stunning ballets that featured in the jubilant mixed bill: Serenade, Castrati and Swan Lake Act III. The Company’s Director of Artistic Planning & Touring, Joseph Morrissey and Artistic Director Madeleine Onne talked all about the essence and background of each of the three ballets. They also asked Judith Fugate, Serenade’s Répétiteur, about her experience in performing this elegant ballet. Judith then led The Hong Kong Ballet’s dancers in a rehearsal of Serenade which was the highlight of the preview. A beautiful demonstration of both Castrati and Swan Lake Act III was also showcased.
