Close to 180 audience members attended two meaningful and enjoyable pre-performance talks at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre before heading to the actual shows. On 10-11 June, two 20-minute guided talks were given by the Company’s Education & Community Outreach Manager Vency Kwok in Cantonese and Artistic Director Madeleine Onne in English, respectively.

On 10 June, Fei Bo shared insights on his technically challenging choreography for Over There and Shenren Chang, alongside his composer, Wen Zi, who spoke about the fascinating composition process for the background music. Audiences also got a closer look at dancer Ka-Chun Hui’s ethereal costume from Shenren Chang and watched him demonstrate some movements while Fei Bo narrated.

The next day, Sacred Thread’s choreographer, Edwaard Liang, helped the participants get to know his ballet's choreography, music and production process better. Bridget Steis, costume designer, was also on hand to share about her creation process for Sacred Thread’s stunning costumes.
