Following this, Artistic Director Madeleine Onne shared her experience of dancing the role of Juliet, as well as introducing and interviewing the guest artist André Lewis for his insights and experiences in staging this ballet for the Company for the third time.

Later in the evening, the audience enjoyed a first glimpse of the romantic encounter of Romeo and Juliet, the marvelous fencing between Romeo and Tybalt and the playful manner between The Nurse and Romeo’s friends, danced by the Company’s dancers followed by André’s instruction. The talk ended with Andre’s sharing his beautiful memories of the working with set designer Toer van Schayk and with the late Rudi van Dantzig, choreographer of Romeo and Juliet.
