Ballet Classics for Children:
The Sleeping Beauty

[Hong Kong – 16th December 2015] Step into the New Year with Hong Kong Ballet’s Ballet Classics for Children: The Sleeping Beauty! Following the huge success and sold-out performances of the first two instalments of Ballet Classics for Children, Hong Kong Ballet now presents its Third Edition of this popular, fun-filled series.

The great dancers of Hong Kong Ballet will deliver a perfect educational and light-hearted entertainment for your entire family. Masterminded once again by renowned local choreographer Yuri Ng, this one-hour abridged version of the full length classic of the same name will enchant your little ones through a tailor-made, innovative blend of storytelling, dance and interaction. With lively narration by Rick Lau, it will be the best first introduction to a live ballet performance for children as young as 5 years. There will be seven performances staged at the Studio Theatre, Hong Kong Cultural Centre from 29th – 31st January 2016. Tickets NOW available at URBTIX.

Based on the fairytale by Charles Perrault, The Sleeping Beauty is about a true love that spans a hundred years, following your dreams and triumphing against adversity, with the help of some good fairies. Tchai-ricksy (Narrator Rick Lau) will take you on this captivating journey and share with you his creative process including the music composition for this ballet. Come along for the ride and let your imagination run free!
