International ballet superstar and principal dancer of the San Francisco Ballet Tan Yuan Yuan will perform in Hong Kong Ballet’s upcoming 1st International Ballet Gala on 2nd November. On 3rd November, Tan Yuan Yuan will also lead our company dancers in their daily class, and following the success of our first Class Observation last season, we are opening up the curtains for you to observe this special event!
Watch our powerful dance artists up close as they prepare for the performances. Ballet dancers are athletes. Daily class is the opportunity for them to warm up for their intensive bodily exertion. From leg extensions, pirouettes to big jumps, dancers hone in their extraordinary technique during class. Don't miss the chance to observe how our dancers train, from head to toes, and prepare for the performance!
Born in Shanghai, China, Tan Yuan Yuan joined San Francisco Ballet in 1995 and became Principal Dancer in 1997.
